 | | Fire trucks on Montana Street. | NORTH ADAMS - A small fire was put out in a matter of minutes at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts' Flagg Townhouses on Wednesday night.

John Morocco said there was no official cause for the fire and no one was in the apartment when the fire alarms for the Townhouse block began sounding.
MCLA Director of Public Safety Joseph Charon, left, and North Adams Fire Director Stephen Meranti | Morocco also said the fire was contained to one bedroom bookcase and did not spread. One of the dorm's occupants said the fire began in a downstairs bedroom.
