The Berkshires received several inches of snow this morning, but not enough to close schools, unlike yesterday's sleety mess. Temperatures will drop into the 20s this afternoon. A few more snow showers are expected through the weekend. |

North Adams Regional Hospital went smoke-free Monday — so did all its sister sites, from Sweet Brook to Northern Berkshire Family Practice to the Women's Exchange. No ashtrays, no smoking: No butts about it. |
 Wanted: Eagle Eyes MassWildlife's annual eagle count runs Dec. 31 to Jan. 14. Anyone sighting one of the regal birds in Massachusetts is asked to participate.

BBPW to Hold March Meeting - February 11, 2008
PITTSFIELD - Berkshire Business & Professional Women will hold their March meeting on Monday, March 3, 2008 at Aster’s Restaurant in Pittsfield. Networking begins at 5:30 PM followed by dinner and the program at 6:00 PM. Visitors and guests are welcome to attend.
The guest speaker for the evening will be David Fleming, Executive Director of The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield. Fleming will discuss the ways in which women often serve as the cultural caretakers' in the community.
