Red Cross to Offer Chance at Ipod to Attendees - February 15, 2008
The Pittsfield High Schools and the Berkshire County Red Cross Youth Leadership Program will host an Internet Safety Presentation by the District Attorneys Office for all interested Pittsfield parents. This FREE event will be held at Taconic High School on March 4th from 6pm to 7:30 pm. Parents and families will be given helpful information and useful strategies to keep their children safe when using the Internet.
Parents are invited to bring their children and teens with them. The Taconic High School Culinary Department will provide refreshments. The Red Cross Youth Leadership program will raffle off three ipod nanos to attendees. Each family will be given a chance upon entering. The drawing will take place at the end of the presentation. One chance per family and must be present to win.
The Red Cross Leadership Program provides high school students with quality service learning education and experiences. In addition, the Red Cross works with local parents to address topics that affect our area teens.
The Red Cross Leadership Program is funded through a Department of Public Health grant attained with the assistance of our Berkshire Legislative Delegation.
