The Berkshires received several inches of snow this morning, but not enough to close schools, unlike yesterday's sleety mess. Temperatures will drop into the 20s this afternoon. A few more snow showers are expected through the weekend.

North Adams Regional Hospital went smoke-free Monday — so did all its sister sites, from Sweet Brook to Northern Berkshire Family Practice to the Women's Exchange. No ashtrays, no smoking: No butts about it.

Wanted: Eagle Eyes
MassWildlife's annual eagle count runs Dec. 31 to Jan. 14. Anyone sighting one of the regal birds in Massachusetts is asked to participate.

Send date, time, location and town of eagle sightings, number of birds, whether juvenile or adult and observer's contact information to Mass.wildlife@state.ma.us.

Kids First! Film Club at Images Cinema

WILLIAMSTOWN - On Saturday, March 15 at 10 am Images Cinema will present a Kids First! Film Club screening of Play With Me Sesame, Stuart Little, and The Adventures Of Dave And Augie. Admission is $2. Images Cinema is located at 50 Spring Street, Williamstown.

Play with Me Sesame

(ages 2-5) Pretending is so much fun with Elmo, Zoe and their friends! Dance with Grover, bake make-believe cookies with Prarie Dawn and Cookie Monster and help Bert scare away monsters in Ernie's bedroom.

Stuart Little: Fun Around Every Curve

(ages 5-8) Stuart Little's trademark heart and humor will delight the whole family, capturing the charm of E.B. White's classice while communicating positive messages about individuality, exploration, and fair play.

The Adventures of Dave and Augie

(ages 5-12) Dave and Augie are two puppets who travel to different historic sites and discover the significance it has on the history of the United States. This episode features the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

The only one of its kind in Berkshire County, Images Cinema is a year-round non-profit, member-supported community film house that presents a wide range of films that impact film making and our culture. Images continuously seeks to entertain, educate and engage the community with quality programming, while maintaining its dedication to independent film and media.
