More Snow
The Berkshires received several inches of snow this morning, but not enough to close schools, unlike yesterday's sleety mess. Temperatures will drop into the 20s this afternoon. A few more snow showers are expected through the weekend. |

Lenten Music Series Finale in Dalton - March 10, 2008
DALTON – Dalton United Methodist Church, located at 755 Main St., will commemorate Palm Sunday, March 16, with two special musical tributes: The church choir will perform a cantata during the regularly scheduled 9:30 a.m. worship service and The Becket Praise Team from the yoked parishes of Becket will perform at 3 p.m. during the “Sing Praise to the Lord Series” finale.
The choir will perform “Praise the God of Resurrection,” an Easter cantata composed by Mark Hayes, Lloyd Larson, Joseph M. Martin and Ruth Elaine Schram. A sensitive blending of scripture and inspired music, this short cantata that walks listeners through the final days of Jesus’ earthly life is a moving reminder of the power of the living God.
The Becket Praise Team, which recently performed in the Berkshire Gospel Festival at the Colonial Theater, is now in its 11th year and has grown to 15 members. Known for its contemporary Christian music sung with power, the Becket group has produced two CDs: “Awesome God” and “Midnight Cry.” The nondenominational Lenten music series is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be shared with the group performing, and all attending are invited for refreshments after the concert.
