Legacy Banks to Host Mortgage Pre-Approval Night

- March 17, 2008

PITTSFIELD — Legacy Banks will host a free mortgage preapproval program in Great Barrington for those interested in learning what type of home they can afford to purchase.

Part of Legacy’s monthly series, the session will be held 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, at Legacy branch at 409 Stockbridge Road.

Those who qualify will leave with a preapproval certificate and a coupon for $250 off closing costs. Attendees should bring a current pay stub and most recent tax return. Self-employed individuals should bring two years of tax returns. Mortgage officers will be on hand to meet one-on-one with individuals or families to determine the amount of a mortgage for which they may be approved, barring any changes in their financial status.

Home equity applications and information will also be available. Anyone interested in attending should call 413-445-3437 or 800-292-6634 for an appointment, although walk-ins will be accommodated. Legacy Banks has been a MassHousing Lender since 1992 and is an Equal Housing Lender.
