- April 07, 2008

PITTSFIELD - For those looking to kick the smoking habit once and for all, Berkshire Medical Center offers a smoking cessation program starting in May. The BMC program meets on consecutive Thursdays for a five-week period. The program includes the availability of nicotine replacement therapy. Pre-registration for the classes is required. The classes are for any smoker who has been trying to cut down or quit altogether and can't do it alone.

The smoking cessation program at Berkshire Medical Center will be offered on Thursdays, from May 8th to June 5th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hillcrest Campus of Berkshire Medical Center, 165 Tor Court.

The program is limited to 12 participants. The cost of the program is $10 per session, unless covered by the participant's insurance. To register, interested participants may call the Berkshire Health Systems Tobacco Treatment Services program at 413-499-2602 or 800-459-8762, ext. 9414.
