Caring Cards for Our Troops - April 28, 2008
The Service to Armed Forces Department, in conjunction with the Military Family Support Group of the Berkshire Red Cross, is conducting a “Caring Cards” project. To extend our appreciation for the sacrifices our troops are making, we are asking local residents and students to participate. Just make or purchase a card and write a note in it for a service member. (Postage stamps are not needed.)
The cards can then be brought or mailed to: Kate Hubley, American Red Cross, 480 West St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. The deadline is May 16.
If you know the military address of a deployed service man or woman from Berkshire County, please call Service to Armed Forces Coordinator Kate Hubley at 413-442-1506 Ext. 15, so they can receive some cards.
For more information contact Kate Hubley at the Red Cross, 442-1506 Ext. 15. |
