Lanesborough News: Candidates' Forum Slated

LANESBOROUGH — Residents are reminded that there will be a candidates' forum at Lanesborough Elementary School on Wednesday night at 7.

All candidates for town offices are expected to be there. This is your opportunity to speak up and ask your questions.

The only races on the ballot are for School Committee. Chairman John "Jack" Hickey is being challenged by Regina Dilego and incumbent Sheila Hebert by Stephanie Michalak.

Longtime Selectwoman Gae Elfenbein is not running for re-election. Joseph Szczepaniak is running unopposed for her three-year seat. All other offices are unopposed.

The forum will be aired on Channel 2 for Charter Cable subscribers.

The town meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 13; the election is on Tuesday, May 20.
