Main Street Stage Mounts Production of 'Talking With' - May 08, 2008
NORTH ADAMS – The Main Street Stage will host a performance of "Talking With" by Jane Martin.
Produced by Melissa Quirk, the cast features many of the members from the Town Players' production held at Berkshire Community College in March. The production has been remounted and restaged to suit the new space at Main Street Stage.
"Talking With" is a series of stories about individuals: an actress just moments before the curtain rises, a housewife fantasizing about life in Oz, a disillusioned rodeo rider, a daughter mourning the loss of her mother, a snake handler, a champion baton twirler, a woman who finds redemption through body art, and an elderly woman simply looking for a peaceful place to rest.
As a collection, "Talking With" is designed as the story of every woman. It includes tales of faith, disillusionment, dreams and redemption, along with humor and wit.
Performances at the 57 Main St. stage will be on Fridays and Saturdays, May 23 and 24, and 30 and 31, all at 8 p.m. Tickets may be reserved by calling 413-663-3240. Ticket prices are $15 adult; $10 students and senior citizens. |
