Pleasant Valley Day At Wildlife Sanctuary

Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary of Mass Audubon announces Pleasant Valley Day on Sunday June 22 at 472 W. Mountain Rd., Lenox, from 10 am to 4 pm, rain or shine.

Naturalist Tom Tyning will exhibit live Frogs and Friends at 11 am, and wildlife rehabilitator Tom Riccardi will present Live Birds of Prey at 2 pm.

Families are invited to bring lunch, and musician George Wilson will entertain picnickers with a wide variety of traditional and folk songs.

Hands-on nature activities for children are scheduled throughout the day. Berkshire Eagle columnist Ron Kujawski will teach Garbage Gardening, and librarian Debby Cuthbert will tell stories. Naturalist and educator Gayle Tardif-Raser will lead Making Tracks, Jeff Litchin will explain Beekeeping, and Lynn Roberson will offer Pond Adventures.

At 10 am and 1 pm,Trail Guides will greet walkers at different places around Pike's Pond, as children follow a "Treasures of Nature Map" and collect hand-stamps.

Admissions charge: non-members, adults $8, children $6, family maximum $30. Mass Audubon members, adults $6, children $4, family maximum $20. Free to children under 3 years. Please call 413-637-0320 for further information.
