Rain Cancels Game as 'Cats Hit the Road

- June 16, 2008

NORTH ADAMS — The North Adams SteepleCats game against the Torrington (Conn.) Twisters for Monday, June 16, has been rained out after heavy rains this afternoon and the threat of inclement weather this evening.

The game was a makeup of the 'Cats home opener, which also was rained out more than a week ago. The game is postponed until a date to announced.

The SteepleCats will play on the road the next three games at Pittsfield, Torrington and Holyoke before returning home for a pair of games this weekend. The game on Saturday, June 21, against the Keene Swamp Bats is "Wild Literature Night," when the team will pair up with the North Adams Public Library. The library will have a display at the game and there will be book giveaways throughout the evening.
