Tickets On Sale For 2008 Pittsfield Garden Tour

PITTSFIELD — The Pittsfield Garden Tour Committee will hold this year's self-guided tour on Saturday, July 19, from 10 to 4 and Sunday, July 20, from noon to 4.

The 12th annual tour will feature eight gardens located in one portion of the city. Among them are a beautiful vegetable garden; a garden full of color complete with a crabapple tree; a garden transformed from a blank slate only 26 months ago; a garden full of inspiration, a garden with a bright exotic flair; a garden making a broad Oriental statement; and a garden with open spaces.

Members of the community may purchase advance discounted tickets at a local businesses including:

* Dr. Lahey's Garden, 1032 South St.
* Joseph on the Mall, Crowne Plaza
* Crowne Jewelers, Allendale Shopping Center
* Bartlett Landscaping & Garden Center, 1175 North St.
* Trillium Garden Co., 25 Pittsfield Road, Lenox

Advance tickets cost $12; after July 12, $15 (children under 12 free). Tickets may also be purchased by mail before July 7 by sending checks payable to the Pittsfield Garden Tour to Julie Beals, 23 Lakeway Drive, Pittsfield.

After July 12, tickets may be purchased at the tour headquarters on Park Square on Saturday, July 19, from 9 to 4 and July 20 from 11:30 to 2:30. For more information, call Anne Pasko, co-chairman of the tour committee, at 413-443-1832 or visit www.pittsfieldgardentour.org.
