Berkshire BPW Awards Ten Career Advancement Scholarships - July 24, 2008
PITTSFIELD - The Berkshire Business & Professional (BPW) organization has awarded ten career advancement scholarships to workingwomen residing in Berkshire County for the upcoming Fall semester. All the recipients are either working full or part-time and all are currently enrolled in a continuing education program that will allow them to advance their career.
The scholarship recipients are as follows: Elena Fyfe, Crystal Garneau and Felicea Robinson of Pittsfield; Catherine Lareau and Joy Fairneny of North Adams; Bonnie Marks of New Marlborough; Kelly Michalski of Adams; Mary Ellen Sondrini of Hinsdale and Laura Gross of Great Barrington and Aime Berti of Cheshire. Scholarships may be used for tuition, books, childcare, uniforms, or other related educational expenses.
The scholarship committee and trustees of Berkshire BPW’s non-profit affiliation, Berkshire County Education Council (BCEC), determine scholarship amounts and the number of scholarships awarded although not more than $500 will be awarded to each recipient per their bylaws. |
