MCLA’s Fast-Track Program Now In South County - August 08, 2008
NORTH ADAMS – Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) has announced that, beginning in the fall, those who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business administration through MCLA's Fast-Track program may do so in South County.
Fast-Track, an accelerated bachelor’s degree program for adult learners, also offers classes on the MCLA campus and at the Intermodal Education Center in Pittsfield. The South County location will be at 343 Main St. in Great Barrington.
Fast-Track offers working individuals a flexible schedule which allows them to begin or complete their degree in a compressed timeframe. Although the delivery method of the program is different, the academic standards are not. Graduates of Fast-Track will receive the same degree as traditional four-year college students.
Classes are held one evening a week, over four Saturdays, or online during the six- or eight-week sessions. The South County location will offer classes on Monday and Thursday nights, 5:45 to 9:45 p.m. Students who have completed coursework at other colleges or who hold an associate’s degree are encouraged to consider the Fast-Track program. Transfer students will be afforded flexible consideration in transferring previous college credits. Prior learning assessment for life and work experience credit also will be available.
For more information, contact the MCLA Office of Continuing Education, (413) 662-5543, or go to www.mcla.edu/fast-track. |
