Mill City Productions to hold auditions for “The Little Prince” - September 03, 2008
North Adams - Mill City Productions will hold auditions for a stage adaptation of the classic story, “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint Exupery on Sunday, September 7th at 2pm and Monday, September 8th at 6:30pm at Mill City’s home at Building 4 (next to the Visitor’s Center) in the Western Gateway Heritage State Park in North Adams. Please park in either the Northeast lot (near NBCTC) or in the Son’s of Italy lot.
”The Little Prince” tells the story of a world-weary and disenchanted Aviator whose sputtering plane strands him in the Sahara Desert and a mysterious, regal 'little man' who appears to him. During their two weeks together in the desert, the Little Prince tells the Aviator about his adventures through the galaxy, and about his strained relationship with a very special flower on his own tiny planet. The Little Prince meets many different characters and from each he gains a unique insight about the world.
”The Little Prince” will be directed by Liz Urban. Performances will take place in November. Actors will be asked to read scenes from the script. No prepared monologues are necessary. Adults of all ages, as well as high school students, are invited to audition. Actors of all experience levels will be considered. Actors with movement experience are especially encouraged to audition.
