More Snow
The Berkshires received several inches of snow this morning, but not enough to close schools, unlike yesterday's sleety mess. Temperatures will drop into the 20s this afternoon. A few more snow showers are expected through the weekend.
We have reports that the roads are very slippery to take care in the evening commute. |

 Wanted: Eagle Eyes MassWildlife's annual eagle count runs Dec. 31 to Jan. 14. Anyone sighting one of the regal birds in Massachusetts is asked to participate.

Airport Welcomes Wings of Freedom Tour - September 26, 2008
PITTSFIELD – The Pittsfield Municipal Airport Commission is hosting the Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour featuring Rare WWII bombers and fighter.
These aircraft will fly in to Pittsfield on October 1st at approximately 2:00pm and will stay on display until they depart on October 3rd at noon. There will be ground tours of these aircraft to explore the aircraft inside and out when they’re on static display for donations of $12 ($6 for children under 12) as well as 30 minute flight experiences for donations ranging from $325 to $2,200 depending on aircraft and seat.
You can call the Collings Foundation at 800-568-8924 for more information. There also will be free public viewing areas from the airport parking lots. Pittsfield Community Television will be on sight October 1st to tape that days fly in and event which will be televised at a later date on Time Warner channel 16.
Aircraft on display will be a B-17 Flying Fortress bomber, B-24 Liberator bomber, B-25 Mitchell bomber, and a P-51 Mustang fighter. This display of aircraft is a tribute to the men and women who built, flew, and maintained them to help preserve our freedom. |
