Pittsfield, Dalton Seek Help in Solving Suspicious Fires

The most recent was a garage fire early Monday morning at 1980 East St., near the Orchards area of Pittsfield. The garage, two cars and home's sun room were destroyed.
Both Dalton and Pittsfield police and fire departments, in conjunction with the state police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal are investigating several suspicious fires in the Greenridge Park area off South St. in Dalton and the Orchards area off outer East Street in Pittsfield.

The Massachusetts Arson Watch Reward Program offers a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that helps to solve or prevent an arson fire.
Anyone with any information regarding suspicious activity within this time period is urged to call their local police department: Dalton at 684-0300, Pittsfield's detective bureau at 448-9705, or the statewide Arson Hotline at 1-800-682-9229. All calls are kept strictly confidential.
