The Pittsfield Prevention Partnership (PPP) will sponsor a community forum for parents to explore ways to talk with kids about drugs and alcohol. Dr. Jennifer Michaels of the Brien Center will be the keynote speaker and will also be available for open discussion and questions. The PPP will provide pizza and beverages so that parents may bring their families.
The first 100 families to arrive will receive a $10 Big Y gift card. The event will also feature a performance of the Barrington Stage Company’s Playwright Mentoring Project. For more information about this community forum, please contact Paul Lange at the Berkshire United Way; 442-4710 ext. 107 or by email at plange@berkshireunitedway.com.
The PPP is a grassroots coalition of community agencies and leaders that aims to reduce and prevent youth substance abuse. Additional information about the Pittsfield Prevention Partnership can be found at www.PittsfieldPP.org.
