The event will be held at Berkshire Community College in the Susan B. Anthony Building, Student Lounge in Pittsfield, MA. The cost is $25. You can pre-register by mailing your check to: The Berkshire Writers Room, 1350 West Street, Pittsfield, MA, 01201. Payment at the door will be accepted on space available basis.
Marsha Philitas is a literary agent at the noted L. Perkins Agency. She has been with the agency two years, working her way up through the ranks from query/slush-reading intern to full-time agent. Her specialty is women's fiction, romance and erotic romance, as well as narrative nonfiction and memoir. “We have been negotiating with Marsha to sponsor this workshop since December,” said BWR President Walt Bell. “Our board of directors is convinced that Marsha has knowledge that will be invaluable to her audience.” Workshop is not limited to BWR members. Please note: A similar BWR workshop held in November had an overflow crowd. Pre-registration is recommended. Ms. Philitas has agreed to extend a personalized query feedback for the first 10 who register & pre-pay. The session will conclude with a question-and-answer period.
