Mammography Dispute The government's issued controversial new guidelines stating that women shouldn't get annual mammograms until age 50, rather than age 40.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce will continue its series of lunchtime workshops designed to help area business owners. The chamber has enlisted the help of experts in the region to provide 60-minute sessions on topics including communication, financial planning, marketing, management, and the use of social media.
The series lineup kicks off on Wednesday, April 15, with "The New Business Index S to Y: Communicating Across the Generations," presented by Deb Blatt of Group Restoration. The workshop will be held in the fourth-floor conference room at Hoosac Bank at 93 Main Street from noon to 1; attendees are invited to bring along a brown-bagged lunch.
Brown Bag Series workshops are free to members of the Berkshire Chamber. Non-members are typically charged $10 per person to attend; however, to provide additional support to area businesses, Hoosac Bank will cover the cost of the workshop for anyone who wishes to attend.
"The Brown Bag Series workshops have been well-received by our members and the Berkshire business community," saidMichael Supranowicz, president and CEO of the Berkshire Chamber. "This new series is designed to help business owners and managers understand the attitudes and values of generations X and Y and to provide ideas for doing business in these tough economic times."
"Hoosac Bank is pleased to support the Berkshire Chamber and our local business community through the Brown Bag Series," said Richard Alcombright, senior vice president of Hoosac Bank's retailing banking division and chairman of the Berkshire Chamber's Seminars and Workshops Committee. "We are very happy to host these workshops at our main office and to make them available free-of-charge to area businesses."
The series will run Wednesdays from April 15 through May 13 and each session will be held at Hoosac Bank from noon to 1. Subsequent sessions include "Trust But Verify: The Only One That's 'Got Your Back' is You" with Nancy Williams of TrueNorth Financial Services on Wednesday, April 22; "X Marks the Spot: Hitting Your Target Market" on Wednesday, April 29; "The Reality of Your Virtual Business" on Wednesday, May 6; and "NETworking: Building Your Business Through Social Media" on Wednesday, May 13.
