Williamstown, Mass. - Williams junior shortstop Robin Allemand has been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America District I Second Team. Allemand started 35 games this year for the 25-12 Ephs and batted .352. He led the Ephs in triples this season with 5 and tied with Stephen Maier for the team-high in HRs with 3. Allemand stroked 51 hits in 145 at bats and scored 42 runs and drove in 24 this season. A three-year starter, Allemand started out as a 3B and later moved to SS. He was the Co-Rookie of the Year in NESCAC and last year was a Second Team All-NESCAC honoree. Of Allemand's 134 career hits, 42 have been for extra bases with 20 doubles, 16 triples and six HRs. |
