ADAMS, Mass. - On Friday, July 10, the town of Adams and South Adams Savings Bank (SASB) will once again kickoff summer with the premiere showing of Adams Movies Under the Stars Program. This much-anticipated celebration will take place on the lawn in front of Town Hall from 6-9 p.m. If it is raining on Friday, the event will take place on Saturday, July 11.

This is the 10th anniversary of Movies Under the Stars. In conjunction with the event kickoff, SASB will be holding its annual community appreciation celebration marking the bank’s 140th anniversary. “Movies Under the Stars has become a summer entertainment tradition. It’s a great time for our community to get together and enjoy the season with friends and neighbors,” said Charles O’Brien, president of SASB. “We are proud to have reached a milestone of 140 years of trusted service to the residents of Berkshire County. We hope you join us at our customer appreciation event to kickoff the Movies Under the Stars season—food and fun for all.”

“Collaborative partnerships like that of the Movie Committee and South Adams Savings Bank make community programs like Movies Under the Stars a success,” commented George Haddad, program committee member. “South Adams Savings Bank’s involvement has allowed us to build upon the momentum of this event, attracting more people each year, with extra activities. The 10th anniversary of Movies Under the Stars is bound to be bigger, better and even more fun this year.”
