Mammography Dispute The government's issued controversial new guidelines stating that women shouldn't get annual mammograms until age 50, rather than age 40.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - REACH for Community Health will hold the only all-women charity golf tournament in northern Berkshire County on Wednesday, July 29, at Waubeeka Golf Links in Williamstown. The event will raise funds for health promotion programs of REACH, the community health arm of Northern Berkshire Healthcare.
Sponsors of this year’s tournament include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Berkshire Direct, Inc., Greylock Federal Credit Union, True North Financial Services, Steepleview Realty, Freedman DeRosa & Rondeau, South Adams Savings Bank, Landmark Credit Union, and Donovan & O’Connor, along with many tee sponsors.
The tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. on July 29 with a shotgun start. Registration is $95 per player or $380 per foursome, and includes greens fee, cart, luncheon, and a gift for each golfer. While the field is filling quickly, space is still available for foursomes and single golfers. The tournament will continue to raise awareness and funds to help keep people in north Berkshire on a path to good health. Golfers of all abilities are welcome, whether they are social golfers or competitive.
REACH community health programs include Get Fit, which promotes physical fitness and proper nutrition to reduce obesity; REACH for Breast Health, which offers care navigation, education, and support services for women in active treatment for cancer; Horizon, which offers programs, resources, and information for caregivers and seniors; and Quitters Are Winners and QuitLinks, REACH’s smoking education and cessation programs.
