PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Pittsfield Department of Community Development Recreation Program has announced the following special events which will take place at the Parks Summer Playground Program sites for the week of July 13-17. The parks include The Common, Pitt Park, Deming Park, and Clapp Park.
July 13-17: Water Week
Monday – Mini Water Olympics, 1:00pm
Tuesday –Tag with Water, 1:00pm
Wednesday – Drip Drip Drop, 1:00pm
Thursday – Sponge Relay, 1:00pm
Friday – Lake Day: Playgrounds closed, and children are invited to the Controy Pavilion for a day of swimming, fun and games. Sorry, no transportation is provided.
For the next few weeks, the Pittsfield American Defenders will generously donate their time to spend with the youth of Pittsfield at multiple park locations throughout Pittsfield.
Mayor Ruberto commented that, “This is a great opportunity for our children to meet, play, and have fun with our own Pittsfield American Defenders baseball team players, and I hope to be able to get out one of the days and be part of the excitement.”
Pittsfield American Defenders will visit Clapp Park Tuesday at 1:30pm, the Common Wednesday at 1:30pm, and Deming Park Thursday at 10:00am.
