PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The BerkshireMade Artisan Market will be held from 10-4 Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th, featuring handmade items from 10 Berkshire County artisans. Many types of items will be available, including handbags jewelry, pottery and puzzles.

The Open House will take place on Saturday, July 18th from 4 to 6PM at the Howard Building on First and Fenn Street in Pittsfield and is for those interested in learning more about BerkshireMade, its mission and to meet its members.

"I am extremely excited about our Open House," said Brandon Harms, President of BerkshireMade. "it is going to be a perfect opportunity for us to spread the word about how important it is to support the local economy by buying locally made goods."

BerkshireMade is a cooperative effort by a select group of Berkshire artisans to promote their high quality, locally made creative work. Our goal is to promote a shift in the shopping paradigm, so Berkshire consumers seek to purchase local goods created by local artisans, in the Berkshires or on the Internet. Buy Local, Buy Handmade.

Both the Open House and Artisan Market are free and open to the public. For more information visit www.berkshiremade.org or info@berkshiremade.org  or contact Donna Todd Rivers, Vice President, BerkshireMade at  413-442-9300.
