GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. - Bazaar Productions and The Berkshire Fringe will launch the their 5th anniversary season with Scored! a world premiere evening of dance, animation, film, theater and visual art-- all inspired by an identicle music score.
Scored! will be held in the Daniel Arts Center on the campus of Bard College at Simon's Rock on Monday, July 27 beginning at 7pm. Participating artists include: playwright Joan Ackermann, filmmaker Larry Burke, choreographer French Clements, animation artist Tyler Kinney, Spine Dance Theater and Bazaar Productions' own Ensemble Theater company featuring Emma Dweck and Fringe co-Artistic Directors Sara Katzoff, Peter Wise and Timothy Ryan Olson.
The event also includes a visual art exhibition featuring Michael Zelehoski, John K. Lawson, Ann Getsinger, Laurie May-Coyle, Karen Kisslinger, Terry Wise, Andreas Wittstock among others.
All performances, films and works of visual art have been inspired by an original six minute soundscape created by Peter Wise.
In addition to highlighting the work of dozens of Berkshire-based artists, the celebration continues at 8pm with a dance party, an open bar courtesy of Domaney's liquors, delicious ‘score’ d’oeuvres provided by Cafe Adam, and a massive not-so-silent auction MC’d by Fringe favorite, Lounge-ZILLA! (aka Fiely A. Matias).
Bazaar Productions is a volunteer-run nonprofit performing arts organization dedicated to the creation and presentation of affordable, cross-disciplinary and dynamic new works of theater, dance and music by emerging artists. The Berkshire Fringe engages new audiences, fosters cultural dialog and delves into traditions underrepresented in the mainstream.
