PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Word X Word Festival — celebrating words written, spoken and sung — settles into the downtown beginning Aug. 17 through Aug. 22.

For five days, stars from across the performance spectrum will be featured in the multivenue event with the performed word in all its genres: music, poetry, spoken word and theater.

Featured performers include some of the brightest emerging stars such as Americana favorites The Low Anthem; National Slam Poetry Champion Taylor Mali; Grammy-winner Jesse Harris; national poets Shira Erlichman and Alix Olson; and award-winning songwriters Ari Hest, Mia Dyson, and Mieka Pauley. Also appearing are Berkshire and Pioneer Valley artists such as Cliff Eberhardt, Chris Vecchia, Roger Salloom, Bernice Lewis and many more.

Tickets are available for individual shows or weeklong badges may be purchased.
