WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce will host a Good News Business Salute on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 sponsored by MAC Source Communications.
The breakfast event will be held at the Williams Inn on the Green in Williamstown from 7:45 – 9:00 AM. The cost to attend is $20 for Berkshire Chamber members and $28 for non-members and includes a breakfast buffet.
The Chamber will salute four local companies and organizations for their “good news:” Mass MoCA, Northern Berkshire United Way, Richmond Networx, and South Adams Savings Bank.
Michael Conforti, Director of the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute (the Clark) will provide the keynote address to an audience of over 275 members of the Berkshire business community. Under his leadership, the Clark has expanded its collections as well as its special exhibition and research and academic programs.
He has overseen the planning for the Clark’s building expansion and campus enhancement designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Tadao Ando. Phase I, Stone Hill Center, opened to critical acclaim in June 2008. Phase II, which includes a new Ando-designed visitor, exhibition, and conference facility will open in 2013.
David Bond, owner of The Range in North Adams, will serve as master of ceremonies.
