A Berkshire County man is facing dangerous driving charges after his Maxima crashed into an underpass pillar off Interstate 91 in Hatfield early Sunday morning, Aug. 9.
The Jaws of Life had to be used to extricate Allen Richter, 27, and his 28-year-old girlfriend from the vehicle, according to Springfield's 22News WWLP. The accident occurred shortly before 4 a.m.
Motorists apparently noticed Richter driving erratically and contacted state police. Richter is expected to be charged with operating after his license had been suspended, driving to endanger and marked lanes violation. No further information was available.
