North Adams Historical Society Slates Appraisal Day
09:23AM / Monday, August 31, 2009
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The North Adams Historical Society is hosting an antiques appraisal day to benefit its programs on Saturday, Sept. 12.
Charles Flint of Charles L. Flint Art & Antiques Appraisals LTD of Lenox, will be at the North Adams Public Library from 10 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. to appraise antiques and collectibles for a nominal fee, which he generously shares with the society.
A dealer for more than 40 years, he has expertise in many areas, such as early American furniture and accessories, blown and molded glass, bottles, stoneware, and polychrome folk art.
Since several years have passed since his last session in North Adams, it is hoped that many will bring personal treasures to the library for his professional evaluation. The appraisals will take place in the third floor community room, which is accessible by elevator. The cost is $5 for one item, $10 for three.
