PITTSFIELD Mass. -  October is National Quality Month. We present a rare opportunity at the Berkshire Section October dinner meeting to interface with special guests Dr. Armand “Val” Feigenbaum and Dr. Donald Feigenbaum in an open forum and discussion on the topic “Innovation and Total Quality”.

This meeting will provide the opportunity for all of us to personally share ideas with recognized pioneers in the Quality Management field and gain their insight on issues important to us, our community and globally.

Dr. Armand Feigenbaum has helped set a new direction for innovation in management technology for the twenty-first century with his latest book, The Power of Management Capital, co-authored with his brother, Dr. Donald S. Feigenbaum. This work extends and complements the concepts of Total Quality Management to provide a basic guideline for utilization of technology and innovation to achieve effective business and enterprise focus in meeting the demands of today’s global market environment.

Noted as a hands-on engineer and innovator, Dr. Feigenbaum is the originator of Total Quality Management, the approach to quality and profitability that has profoundly influenced management technology strategies and productivity improvement initiatives throughout the world. The several editions of his famous book, Total Quality Control, have been published in more than twenty languages.

Donald S. Feigenbaum is the Executive Vice President and COO of General Systems Co., Inc. and is an acknowledged world leader in systems management and engineering. He has published numerous influential works in the field of systems technology.

Their company, General Systems, was founded in 1968 in Pittsfield and continues to provide cost effective solutions to companies globally.

Our meeting this month will be held Wednesday, October 14, at The Crowne Plaza, Route 7 and West Street on Park Square, Pittsfield, MA.

The meeting will start with networking at 6:00 p.m. with dinner at 6:45 p.m.

Member and guest reservations are required and only $20. for this event.  Call or email your meeting reservation, along with your dinner choice of Pork Pizziola or Grilled Salmon, to Tom Homewood at 413-494-8028 or William_T_Homewood@raytheon.com by Friday, October 9.
