Rinaldi Promoted, Baran and Senecal Join South Adams Savings Bank Team

08:59AM / Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Maureen Baran has been named to Vice President of Business Development
ADAMS, Mass. - Maureen Baran has been named to Vice President of Business Development of the South Adams Savings Bank, Mary Rinaldi has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Branch Officer of the Adams Office located at 2 Center St., Adams, and Tyna Senecal has been named Branch Officer of the Cheshire Branch located at 75 South Street, Cheshire, according to an announcement made by President and Chief Executive Officer, Charles P. O’Brien.

Baran, who previously worked at South Adams Savings Bank, returns as Vice President of Business Development. O’Brien commented, “We welcome Maureen back to the South Adams team. Her wealth of banking expertise combined with her proven commitment to serve the community in which she lives and works are qualities we look for when selecting people for key positions.” In her new role, Baran will be responsible for developing business with commercial and consumer clients.

Baran is presently the Board Chair for Northern Berkshire United Way and is a member of the board for Berkshire Families and Individual Resources (BFAIR.) Baran resides in North Adams with her husband, Jerry, and their son.

Rinaldi is promoted to Assistant Vice President and Branch Officer at their main office. She came to work at South Adams in 1980 where she has been managing the daily activities of the Cheshire branch for more than 15 years. O’Brien said, “As a native of Adams, Mary is very in tune with the needs of our customers and has developed a loyal customer base through her high touch and personalized style of service. She has an outstanding track record of leading our bank to great success and we are thrilled to have her join our flagship office.” In this position, Rinaldi is responsible for all aspects of service for both business and consumer customers; customer acquisition and relationship management and employee development.

Currently, Rinaldi serves on the Commercial Division Fundraising Committee of the Northern Berkshire United Way; is a member of the Adams Lodge of Elks; is actively involved in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and she is a former member of the HVHS Golf Team Committee. Rinaldi and her husband Michael live in Adams and have three grown children.

Tyna Senecal joins South Adams as the Branch Officer at their Cheshire location. “I am very pleased to welcome Tyna to South Adams,” noted O’Brien “Tyna’s background in financial services coupled with her outstanding customer service skills will serve us well as we continue to expand customer relationships in Cheshire and the surrounding communities.” he added.

In her new capacity, Senecal will be responsible for leading the branch team in growing deposits, expanding customer relationships and ensuring outstanding customer service. Prior to joining South Adams, Senecal was the assistant manager of Hoosac Bank’s main office where she was also involved in a student development program. Senecal is a Justice of the Peace in Stamford and a member of the Board of Civil Authority. She is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with a degree in business administration and a concentration in Accounting.  Senecal and her husband James live in Stamford with their son.

Founded in 1869, South Adams Savings Bank is a state-chartered mutual savings bank, serving the residents of Berkshire County from offices in Adams, Cheshire, Williamstown and Lee. The mutual charter allows the bank flexibility to help communities grow and to take a long-term view of what is best for the towns, neighborhoods and villages that they serve. Deposits are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and by the Depositors Insurance Fund. South Adams Savings Bank can be contacted at (413) 743-0040 or at www.sasavings.com.
