North Adams Babe Ruth Adds Senior Division for 2010

Print Story | Email Story

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - After the successful 2009 North Adams Babe Ruth season, many NABR 15 year-olds expressed an interest in continuing to play Babe Ruth baseball, so the NABR Board has decided to add a Senior Division (ages 16-18) for the 2010 spring season.

NABR currently has a 6 team league consisting of 13-15 year-olds from North Adams, Williamstown, Lanesboro, Clarksburg, Florida, New Ashford and Hancock, MA as well as Stamford and Readsboro, VT. We hope to continue to provide a rewarding baseball experience to players in that area and beyond.

Because the Adams and Pittsfield Babe Ruth Leagues do not offer baseball for 16-18 year-olds, players from those Babe Ruth districts are eligible to join the NABR Senior Division. We have begun discussions with key coaching/parent contacts and hope that they will choose to join us.

With league expansion, we will need additional coaches, Board members and sponsors. We welcome anyone who would like to get involved.
