PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Colonial Theatre will be hosting a free concert, open to the public on November 22nd at 4PM to celebrate the life of Ellen Marie Ruberto, Pittsfield Mayor James Ruberto’s late wife. Ellen was an enthusiastic Trustee and supporter of The Colonial Theatre for many years. Following the concert, a commemorative bronze star honoring her service will be unveiled in The Colonial Theatre’s Berkshire Bank Lobby.
The concert will begin with a program featuring the Pittsfield High School Orchestra directed by Alla Zernitskaya. Liam Geddes, known to Berkshire audiences as the Irish Idol, will perform some favorite Irish ballads. The program will be closed by the Gospel Choir of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church led by Paul Keel. Master of Ceremonies will be Colonial Trustee John Bissell.
Advance tickets will be required and general admission seating will be available starting at 3PM on the day of the event on a first-come-first served basis. Tickets available on November 13 by calling the Colonial Ticket Office at (413) 997-4444 or online at www.thecolonialtheatre.org.
