New works by local artists are on display at North Adams Regional Hospital as part of the hospital’s Community Art Project. The public is invited to an artists’ reception on Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 5 to 7 in the surgical services waiting area on the first floor, just off the lobby. Project is curated by Sharon Carson. Light the Tree
Better not pout, we're telling you why! The city kicks off the holiday season with the annual tree lighting on Thursday, Dec. 3. The downtown will also be abuzz with gallery exhibitions and friendly merchants.

Warm Conversation
Take Charge, a local group committed to making homes more energy efficient, and the NBCC host a discussion with residents, public officials and college professors on Friday, Dec. 4, from 10 to noon at First Baptist Church on Eagle Street. All are welcome.

Artists Return
The Berkshire Artist Colony gallery at 46 Eagle St. has reopened for the holidays. Hours are Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 20 from noon to 5 p.m. and this Thursday, Dec. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m.
