CLARKSBURG, Mass. — The oldest invitational singles tournament in New England hits a major milestone later this month as the North Adams Country Club celebrates the 75th anniversary of its host tournament.

The NACC Invitational Singles Tournament will take place over a three-day span starting on Friday, July 23. The tournament begins with an 18-hole qualifying round on Friday, followed by a match play format over the weekend. The cost of the tournament is $140 and includes one practice round, a prime rib dinner on Friday night and a roast turkey/awards dinner on Sunday night. One of the highlights of this year's tournament is a million dollar hole-in-one contest sponsored by Deep Insurance and Pat's Gun Shop.

Last year's tournament champion was Al Stalker, who defeated North Adams native Kevin Lamb to take the title. The North Adams Country Club is a Par 36 course, set in the beautiful rolling hills of Clarksburg, just north of the North Adams border. Anyone interested in playing in the tournament can contact the NACC at 413-664-7149 or Vice President Pete Cowlin at 413-652-9110.
