sitting in the office at mr. rooter plumbing myself and 3 others felt the building swaying and asked each other what is that. then shortly after it came over the radio. what a weird feeling.
My family and I were on a ferry enroute to NYC from Jersey City, NJ when it jit. We were in the modst of things when everything was being evacuated in NYC. Cell communications turned into another 9/11 but the worst part was most of it we heard was common chats. A sad day for people when they tie lines up for things that could wait during an emergency or possible emergency. :-(
I live in N. Adams but I lived in San Francisco for years. I immediately grabbed my phone, purse & bike helmet & got into the bathtub. No matter how many earthquakes I've experienced, they still worry me. But one in MA, was a real shock!
Williamstown Legion Post Recognized for Generosity to Guard Members

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Michael Kennedy American Legion Post 152 has been recognized for its work to support a Cape Cod National Guard training site.
Lt. Col. Alexander McDonough presented the post with a certificate of appreciation for its support and commitment to the soldiers of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
The post's generosity ensured that the soldiers and their families had a successful holiday party and a Christmas to remember.
"Their support is greatly appreciated by Camp Edwards and the Massachusetts Army National Guard," the camp posted on Facebook.
