BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts senior forward Jen Wehner was named the conference co-player of the week, sharing the honor with Amy Fahey of Fitchburg State University.

It is the first honor for Wehner this season, who joins teammate Lucy Tremblay as recipients this season.

Wehner averaged 15.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 5 blocks last week. She had her best outing of the season by collecting 19 points and 13 rebounds in Friday's setback to Hartwick College. She notched 10 points, 16 rebounds, and 7 blocks in a win over Union College. Wehner began the week by scoring 17 points and pulling down 10 boards in a convincing win over Johnson State College. Wehner also became MCLA's all time leading rebounder last week.

Wehner, who was a D-III News Preseason All American, is no stranger to the player of the week honor having taking home the award five times last season.

MCLA wraps up semester play on Wednesday evening when they host Smith College at 7 p.m.
