MCLA's Wehner Earns Fifth Player of the Week Honor
Jen Wehner |
It is the fifth time that she has collected the award this season. Wehner and the Trailblazers earned a pair of key victories to move up to second in the MASCAC standings.
Wehner averaged 25 points and 13.5 rebounds on the week while shooting an impressive 77 percent from the field. She began the week with a 21 point-13 rebound performance in a road win at Westfield. Wehner would follow that performance up with a season high 29 point, 14 rebound showing on senior day against Framingham State University.
Wehner ranks second in the conference in scoring and rebounding, while leading in blocked shots and field goal percentage. She is already MCLA's all-time leading scorer and rebounder.
MCLA will wrap up the regular season with a pair of road games this week as they look to continue their current winning streak. The Trailblazers will travel to Fitchburg State University on Tuesday before heading to Bridgewater State University on Saturday.
