LENOX, Mass. — Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y., has welcomed Gillian Cecilia Fisher of Lenox.
A graduate of Lenox Memorial High School, Fisher is among the 757 students who entered Colgate University this fall as a member of the class of 2016. Selected from an applicant pool of almost 7,800 students from 50 states, 127 countries, and the District of Columbia, college officials say the class of 2016 is one of the strongest and most diverse in Colgate's history.
Colgate University is a liberal arts institution offering 52 majors to a diverse student body of 2,900 undergraduate students, and supports 25 Division I athletic teams.
