Primary Care Physician Joins Hillcrest Family Health

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Health Systems announced the appointment of Mehernosh P. Khan to the medical staff of Berkshire Medical Center and the physician staff of Hillcrest Family Health. Dr. Khan is accepting new patients in need of primary care services and joins Alesia Churyla, Robert Davenport and Christopher Trancynger in providing care to patients throughout the county at Hillcrest Family Health, 631-B North St.
 
Dr. Khan comes to the Berkshires from Monroeville, Pa., where he most recently served as medical director of Jade Wellness Center and had previously served at Forbes Regional Hospital, Golden Mile Medical Center, the Allegheny Medical Practice Network and elsewhere.
 
Dr. Khan is board certified in Family Practice Medicine and Geriatric Medicine and received his medical degree from Grant Medical College, University of Bombay, India. He completed his residency in Family Practice at Monsour Medical Center, Hershey University, Pa.
 
Dr. Khan also holds a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and provides conventional and alternative medicine (holistic) services.

Pittsfield Seeking Volunteers for Flag Distribution

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The city of Pittsfield's Department of Veterans' Services is looking for volunteers to assist with placing flags and markers at Veterans' gravesites. 
 
The installation of flags will occur between May 6 to May 11, 2024.
 
Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable, appropriate apparel and shoes, walking will be required throughout the cemeteries to place these flags. Instructions, flags, and markers will be provided, as well as soft refreshments and snacks.
