LENOX, Mass. — The Lenox Library announced the winners of the eighth annual Gingerbread House Competition — this year's theme being "Hobbits and Ogres and Elves, Oh My!" — held on Sunday, Dec. 9.
People of all ages enjoyed voting for their favorite houses and bidding on one to take home. Children decorated — and ate — their own gingerbread men. This community event raised over $1,500 for library services and programs.

Prize: $250 Lenox Chamber of Commerce gift certificate and $250 Wheatleigh gift certificate
► Judge's choice in the group category – Katie, Kade and Brynn Armstrong, for "Shrek"
Prize: $100 Baba Louie's Pizza gift card and 10 Beacon Cinema movie passes
► Judge's choice in the individual category – Luna Wilhelm, for "Luna's Gingerbread House"
Prize: $106 Kemble Inn gift card and two tickets to "Santaland Diaries" at Shakespeare and Co.
► People's Choice in the professional category – Wheatleigh, for "Winter in the Berkshires"
Prize: $250 Lenox Chamber of Commerce gift certificate
► Peoples choice in the group category – Berkshire Country Day, for "Holiday Hotel"
Prize: $50 Baba Louie's Pizza gift card and 10 Beacon Cinema movie passes
► People's choice in the Individual Category – Marya LaRoche, for "Galadriel's Boat"
Prize: Receiving $50 Olde Heritage Taverne gift card and two tickets to "Santaland Diaries" at Shakespeare and Co.
