NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of Northern Berkshire will hold a flu vaccination clinic at the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Jan. 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The chamber office is at 7 Denison Park Drive, at the bottom of Spring Street.
The clinic is open to any individual age 18 and older. There is no charge for the vaccine but donations will be accepted to offset the cost of the clinic.
"Seasonal" flu vaccine helps to protect individuals against three identified strains of flu.
An annual seasonal flu shot is recommended for anyone over the age of 65 or who has a chronic illness, and for those who wish to reduce the risk of contracting the flu this winter. It is still important to be vaccinated against seasonal flu, which is responsible for thousands of deaths each year.
