Superhuman Happiness in an apt moniker for this much buzzed-about Brooklyn band that's turning heads with its high-energy live shows and a series of well-received 7-inches and 45s. They dub their sound "physical, cinematic dance rock," but there's some funky '80s electro-meets-afro-beat in the mix as well. Whatever you want to call it, the band's joyful spirit is palpable, vibrating collectively through melody and rhythm.

Mulherrin's history as a painter goes back to his childhood, however he didn't develop a sense of real commitment or focus until the age of thirty. "Before that painting was something I did; after that it as something I was" states the artist. One the most enjoyable aspect of being an artist, Mulherrin reflects, "Most people have no such record of the evolution of their own psyche. They might have love letters and old photographs. Artists have their work, something tangible, an object they can look at outside of their own head, evidence of their own history and the places their spirit has traveled."
