Cheshire Kindergartners Learn About Washington

Print Story | Email Story

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Kindergartners at Cheshire Elementary School have been learning about Presidents Day and George Washington and Abraham Lincoln this week.

The boys and girls in Robin Poirot and Heather Emerson's classes created "Washington hats" and talked about what people wore in Washington's times.

They also read books about the presidents and make Lincoln log cabins out of pretzels as part of their studies.

The week's been busy for the children at Cheshire Elementary: they also celebrated the 100th day of school and Valentine's Day on Thursday and Acts of Kindness Week.
