This month, Berkshire Organizs will make a presentation. Berkshire Organics is a local, family-owned business created to bring area residents and local farms together year-round. The full service market was just named the 1st Right to Know Non-GMO Grocer in North America. The rollicking country swing of the Sweetback Sisters is as infectious as it is heartbreaking. Their charismatic charm harkens back to the golden era of both the silver screen cowgirl and the ersatz cowboy stars. The group will have everyone singing along to their upbeat Honky Tonk remakes of Christmas classics in no time. |

Job Opportunities: MCLA Assistant Professor: Fine & Performing Arts -Arts Management Click here for more information The Department of Fine and Performing Arts is currently accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track, Assistant Professor position beginning September 1, 2014. This unique program is one of the few in the nation and one of the only public programs in New England, and is jointly sponsored by the FPA, Business, and English/Communications departments. Students gain exposure to visual art, music, and theatre, and then consider these disciplines in relation to broader issues in arts management. The program is highly interactive, combining theory and practice; coursework is enriched and extended through opportunities for hands-on learning through campus cultural programs, including the MCLA Presents! performing arts series, MCLA Gallery 51 on Main Street in North Adams, and B-HIP, an imm, upper-level arts management internship program. Faculty and students also work in conjunction with the many outstanding cultural institutions of the Berkshire, including MASS MoCA, Shakespeare and Co., and the Normal Rockwell Museum, among others. |
