Kittredge Youth Hockey Tourney Concludes

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Manchester, Vt.'s, Northshire Bulldogs youth hockey program took home two championships from the 43rd annual Gib Kittredge tournament on Monday at the Boys & Girls Club.
 
The Vermonters won the Squirt 1 and the Peewee 2 divisions.
 
In the Squirts, Caeden Herrington scored two goals for Northshire to lead the Bulldogs to a 4-3 win over the South County-based Berkshire Rattlers. For the Rattlers, Nick Zanin scored twice and Rayford Mueller added a goal.
 
In the Peewee 2 division, Northshire scored three second-period goals and overcame seven penalties to defeat Northern Berkshire, 5-1.
 
The Northern Berkshire squad was a co-op of Northern and Southern Berkshire squads playing with Rattlers' uniforms for the tournament.
 
Silas Bullock had the lone goal for Northern Berkshire, which got strong goal tending from Tucker Beaudoin.
 
The only tournament final involving a Berkshire County team came in the Peewee 1 division, where the hosts, the Berkshire Bruins, squared off against Troy/Albany of New York.
 
Troy/Albany scored once in each period to take a 3-1 victory.
 
For the Bruins, Mason Alfonso scored on an assist from Ryan Lapierre late in the second period to make it 2-1 at the time.

Guests can expect to indulge in a diverse array of culinary creations from beloved establishments such as Zuchini's, Fully Belly, Mazzeo's, Firehouse Cafe, KJ Nosh, Common Table, 413 Bistro, Uptown Smoke, Austin Riggs, Berkshire Catering Group, Porta Via, and more! From savory to sweet, there will be something to tantalize every palate. Haddad Subaru, will be providing a donation of their own as well as being onsite to volunteer, and raise money through some fun cornhole challenges! Subaru will also be collecting food at their East St location from now until May 5. Please stop in with your canned or dry goods.
 
Adding to the festive ambiance, Pittsfield's own musical sensation, Whiskey City, will provide the perfect backdrop of toe-tapping tunes, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the event.
