Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts' (MCLA) Gallery 51 will present "Persistence of Spirit,” an exhibition of paintings by three prominent Haitian artists, Philippe Dodard, Gontron Durocher and Ronald Mevs. The show will run from Thursday, Jan. 30, through Sunday, Feb. 23, in the Main Street gallery. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30, 5-7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The North Adams Office of Tourism & Community Events is looking for a group of volunteers to help staff WinterFest activities. Responsibilities include monitoring the community camp fire, monitoring chowder tasting sites, and helping to set up for WinterFest on February 14th. Berkshire Hill Internship Program
Summer 2014 - Applications available now!

Berkshire Hills Internship Program (B-HIP) is an intensive twelve-week arts management internship course structured to integrate theoretical concepts and real-world experience.


B-HIP runs in the Summer and it combines an internship component with a seminar in arts management, talk-backs with the area's leading arts professionals, and full participation in cultural events throughout Berkshire County (Western Massachusetts). Each internship is hand-tailored to suit each interns' needs, interests and talents. Former interns have worked at institutions such as The Clark Art Institute, MASS MoCA, the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, Shakespeare and Company, and more! $100 weekly stipend and housing provided. Undergrad and grad credits available. Scholarship opportunities are also available. More info and application form at http://www.mcla.edu/b-hip. Application Deadline March 1, 2014. International applicants welcome, with a deadline of February 3rd.
