General Surgeon Joins North Adams Regional Hospital

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — General Surgeon Jane I. Tsao joined the medical staff of North Adams Regional Hospital and Northern Berkshire General Surgery.
She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Tsao earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed residencies at Baylor College and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. She completed a fellowship in hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery at Lahey Clinic and a clinical fellowship in surgery at Harvard Medical School's Brigham and Women's Hospital. She also holds master degrees in religion and theology.
Dr. Tsao is experienced in gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary-pancreatic, breast, thyroid and parathyroid surgery. She has added experience in the repair of bile duct injuries and the management of benign and neoplastic diseases of the pancreas, bile duct and liver.
Dr. Tsao has performed surgery at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, and Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain and has held teaching positions at Tufts Medical School.
